About a company

For well over a decade we have specialized in recreating and adapting beautiful classical designs in both marble and stone for the home and garden. Because we design and make all our fire surrounds and garden features based on the classically proven style of antique originals we have become known as After the Antique.


Based in rural Southwest Norfolk, After the Antique has built up a very large portfolio of classical designs covering the 15th to 20th century. In addition we are also licensed by Historic Royal Palaces and some of the great houses in the UK to reproduce their exquisite fireplaces and garden features for private commissions. These can all be scaled to whatever size is required.


We have an extensive warehouse showroom alongside our design office here in Norfolk where a very large collection of our fireplaces can be viewed and purchased. We also have a show garden here where many of the garden features are permanently on display and which is open by appointment.


After the Antique specialises in bespoke work as well, and with our own in house designers, draughtsmen, carvers and installers we can see a project through from design concept through to final installation.


We are not heavy advertisers and do not run expensive showrooms in cities. We do exhibit at both Chelsea Flower show and Decorex and apart from this rely on word of mouth (internet search is increasing) for our customers. This combination helps us to ensure that we can offer great work without high overhead costs and this, we hope you will notice, is reflected in our pricing.
