HOW TO SELECT A GOOD UPHOLSTERY FABRIC
When selecting upholstery fabric, the most important thing to consider is what type of furniture the fabric is to be upholstered on, and how often the furniture is used. Is it for an every-day sofa, a decorative chair or a headboard for the bed? All upholstery fabrics will have technical details of the Martindale test, which indicates the strength, or abrasion of the fabric, ranging from 15,000 rubs for light domestic use to beyond 100,000 for contract.
Lizzo has a large selection of upholstery fabrics including plains, textures, satins and designs in print and jacquard. We recommend heavy cottons and linen, chenilles, velvets, and epinglés.
